One of the major wood engravers exhibiting in the after-war years, Bostock combined teaching with a lifetime of printmaking and then painting. Influential and much admired, his wood engravings include some of the finest work in the medium and exhibit the rhythm and energy of contemporary artistic styles alongside true craftsmanship.
